Charnwood Borough Council are seeking the public's views on the proposed changes to the conservation area boundaries in the villages.
The consultation period will run from Monday January 21, 2019 to February 11, 2019. You can give your views by completing our online survey.

The Parish Office has received a report of suspicious cold callers in the area, who are calling on people even though they have 'No Cold Callers' cards in their windows. Please be cautious.

The Council have 3 snow wardens who, if there is a long spell of cold weather, come out and salt and grit the footpaths in the centre of the village. There is a small payment for this.

The Council would like to thank everyone who signed the petition to ask for the Highways Department to start working with the village to improve the traffic situation in the village.

Each year the Council makes an award to residents who have given exceptional service to the community.

The planning application from Hallam Homes (P/18/0611/2 for 220 houses on Melton Road) has been turned down by Charnwood Borough Council's Planning deptartment.

The planning application for 150 houses on Barkby Road went to Charnwood BC's Planning Committee on Thursday, 31st May. The Planning Officers recommended that the Committee refuse planning permission.

The Council does receive inquiries from village residents who are inconvenienced by hedges and trees from private gardens overhanging the pavement causing obstructions especially to people with baby buggies or in mobility scooters or wheelchairs.
