Soar Valley Outreach Community Food Bank

Football Facilities on Rearsby Road
As Queniborough Football Club have ceased to operate for the foreseeable future the Parish Council have purchased their changing rooms and all their equipment. we currently have 3 clubs from East Goscote and outside the village who are renting and using the pitch and changing rooms.
The changing rooms are currently undergoing a refurbishment before the start of the new season.

Temporary Closure of Wooden Bridge to Rearsby Road Playing Fields
The wooden bridge to Rearsby Road (Melton Road side) is temporarily closed due to repairs needed. The Council have placed signs on the entrance and exit of the bridge to advise people not to use it. Tape to close the bridge has been put up on several occassions but keeps being torn down. Trees on Rearsby Road - update from Clerk
A branch came down from an acacia tree on Rearsby Road on Tuesday night. When I went to inspect and take a picture in order to report this to Highways I fortuitously bumped into a man from Highways who had been undertaking a tree survey.

Cemetery Clerk
Queniborough Parish Council require a Cemetery Clerk to oversee the running of South Croxton Road Cemetery. The role will include administrative, clerical and communications duties together with some manual work in the cemetery grounds. Dog Bags
Since January this year the Parish Council have purchased 40,000 dog bags at a significant cost. Litter Pickers
Following several requests from residents last year, the Parish Council purchased litter picking equipment to aid volunteers in helping to keep our streets tidy. There is no official litter picking group for the village at the moment but If individuals are interested in helping out please visit the Parish Office

Proposed Widening of Footpath on Queniborough Road
LCC Highways Design Engineering team has agreed in principle to the installation of bollards alongside the school boundary on Queniborough Road providing that the footway can be widened into the existing verge, adjacent to the school railing.
